Does your Phone have issues too?

The Holy Spirit thought me something recently… My younger brother travelled recently, and unbeknownst to us he had issues with his charger and charging port. No one knew his whereabouts… Was he on his way or he has gotten to his destination? After two days, he sorted the phone and called. 

He sent me a message apologizing, I asked him a question… If you are in a lecture or examination hall and your pen stops working will you sit down and look or walk out of there abandoning the lecture/exam? He said, neither, I would look for another pen. What then stopped you from calling with another phone? He is yet to reply. 

It occurred to me then how we see our reasons as genuine until it passes through the fire and it becomes excuses disguised as strong points…who will buy? Who will pay? In this economy? No one is interested…it doesn’t work… let’s be realistic e.t.c. 

Excuses come easily and are very tempting and addictive, it has unknowingly become the default setting for most of us. It’s time we push the reset button again
