How God made Man
It was a symphony on earth, a glorious sound coming from everywhere. The grasses, trees, water, wind and all creation were praising God.
God had made everything and it was time for man to be created.
So God called the meeting of the elements. He said, come! and so they came, earth, rocks, water, wind and everything.
“I am making a being and you will work together to bring the being to life.”
They all bowed in obedience to the Lord and accepted to do whatever He says.
God directed as the rocks formed bones, the earth and the water formed the body within and without, they watched in awe as the being took shape before them.
Finally, it was the turn of the wind and God blew, ” go.” He told the wind, “wake it up.” the wind flowed into the being through his nostrils and entered the body, lighting and waking up everything within. Outside the being opened its eyes and there was a collective gasp from the elements. The earth helped him sit while the grasses caressed his body to dust off the dirt, the water swooshed on him and laughed in glee as it slid down instead of sinking into the body. God smiled and so did the man.
God declared him good. The man stood watching as the elements twirled about him.
God raised his hand and they all quietened. The earth asked, “Great God, will we all be formed into this man being too?
“No,” the Great God replied. ” but I have put in him a seed that will keep producing more, he also can create like me. you will all work with him, he will speak to you and send you, I have put in you all that he requires, so bring them to him when he needs them, and as he calls for them. When it’s time, he will return to the earth and his spirit will come back to me.”
“Yes, All-Wise God, we are ready to work with him and bring to him and all that comes from him what they require.” The elements replied.
They watched in awe and excitement as God put the man to sleep and made the woman.
Together with God, man began to create with God by naming the animals and taking care of every other thing while God watched proudly.
And so it was until the fall of man and then it was again restored by Jesus, but that will be a story for another day, for now, we end this story here.
But God is waiting for you and me to create with Him… just like people have been creating big and small things, furniture from trees, delicious food from crops, computers and gadgets, boreholes and taps for channelling water and so many amazing things.
Will you create with God?
What will you create?
Ask God for ideas, He loves when we ask.
