How to wash spit off your body

Whenever I pray for someone or myself, I get this feeling that may be there is something they or someone else may have done that opened the door to the devil therefore I start second guessing the prayer and its efficacy.

Today, I was going through my WhatsApp status and I came across a Bible verse I have seen countless times, but today it had a new meaning to me.

😳wawu! Did you see that?

As children of God, our sins and the sins of our generation do not have any right to hold us down, cos we are now in Christ whose blood has freed us. The same applies to the people we pray for.

The crux of the matter is, how do we look at situations?

My father and mother had it, it’s in my lineage shouldn’t be part of our story.

When we change the way we look at situations, it boosts our faith and belief, which changes our results.

Jesus is saying, neither my family nor I have done anything that warrants us going through a bad situation, rather, the situation(whatever it is) is for God to be glorified.

Look at the situation and tell it, “situation through you, God shall be glorified in my life! Speak life and what you want to see, not the other way round.

Ps: Did you know it was the norm during Jesus era for people to spit on those who lived with a form of sickness/deformity? They believe that their sins or the sins of their parents caused the disease.

But Jesus used the same spit to make a paste on the blind man’s eyes and healed him… Talk about a practical example of turning shame into God’s glory.

What are you receiving spit for?

Go and wash in the Pool of Siloam and turn the pain/shame for God’s glory
