Judah and Judas

I was reading the book of John and decided to check if Judah and Judas had similar meanings. I saw they were the same thing. Judas is the Greek pronunciation of the Hebrew name, Judah and they both mean praise.

That was when I saw it was Judah who suggested selling Joseph to the Ishmaelites centuries earlier and the same name Judas sold Jesus. What are the odds?

This took me to the meaning of the name… Praise. Is it a coincidence that Praise sent Joseph to Egypt and sent Jesus to the cross?

I discovered when Jacob(Israel) wanted to relocate to Egypt after they found Joseph, He sent Judah ahead to get directions and prepare the way Gen46:28. Also, I saw whenever the Israelites wanted to go to battle, they send praise ahead by putting their minstrels with musical instruments in front of them to keep praising and worshipping.

There are times when we feel we have prayed and done all we know(even praised) but things looked like they remained the same or got tighter. Today, I realized that our situation may look like Judah/Praise is leading us to Egypt like Joseph or the cross like Jesus but we don’t stop sending Judah ahead cos it is leading us to the palace and Goshen like Joseph and the Israelites, to resurrection on the third day and taking over like Jesus and the world.

Keep praise on your lips and send Praise ahead✌
