Kofo and the meat(Sex Education)
Mama Kofo was cooking with her daughter in the kitchen, so she asked her
“Kofo, If I take you to the market and buy foodstuffs with about 5kilo of meat for you, what will you do with it… Boil or fry everything immediately and eat at once because you’re hungry or wait to use it to cook different food?
Kofo thought for a while and said. “Ha! Mummy, it will be delicious o, imagine all the suya or peppered meat I will just make with it like this and just wash it down with cold juice. Kai!” She licked her lips, imagining the suya was in her mouth already.
It will be very delicious, right? Mama Kofo asked. “correct!” Kofo nodded excitedly.
What will you use to cook when it’s time for food? Mama Kofo asked.
“Ha! Mummy forget that one, we will think about it when we get there,” Kofo replied.
“You have finished eating the meat because it is delicious. Now you want to make soups, stews and other food but there is no meat because you could not wait. Which one will be more enjoyable, eating your food without meat or having meat with it”. Mama Kofo asked again.
Kofo was scratching her head. ” errm, It seems I will wait to use the meat for different meals, the suya will finish once but you will be eating meatless food for a long time. Nooo.”
Mama Kofo brought out some food for Kofo and she added the lap of the chicken which was Kofo’s favourite part for her and told her, “your body is like the meat, and so is sex. You can decide to follow any man that comes now, it’s like you cooking and eating your meat straight from the fire at once, just like you said it would be sweet, but you can only get tired of suya, it will not fill you. But if you wait to use it for different food at the right time, you will enjoy it more and eat it well. The choice is yours… Will you want to eat empty food tomorrow because you rushed your meat today or you wait despite the hunger because you know the satisfaction of waiting to eat it well is more? Think about it.”
That evening as Kofo ate her food with the meat, she kept thinking about what her mother had said.
