Parenting with God series 4

My next point in parenting with God is on the people my children meet or are associated with, these can be in the form of friends, school teachers, neighbours e.t.c.

First, no one is perfect, neither is the world. Teachers are human beings and despite their professional training, they can have personal issues. Friend’s can have an upbringing that differs from what we believe e.t.c. I can not be there 24/7 with the children, nor can I follow them everywhere, but people will always be wherever they are and there is nothing I can do about it.

So, rather than being anxious about this, I borrow a methodd from the Bible; the world was framed by the words of God, therefore, I call/pray forth daily, teachers, neighbours, mentors, guides, friends, helpers e.t.c that will help them grow into the fullness of God’s plans and purpose for their lives.

We call/say what we want to see instead of concentrating on saying/worrying about the things we don’t want e.g Instead of saying, Tori will not encounter a troublesome teacher(worry/fear words/prayers), it should be Tori’s teacher understands her and knows how to bring out the best in her… Frame the thoughts/words/prayers aright.

Does that mean no negative/wrong person will ever come their way? No. But the Bible said, every tree not planted by my father shall be uprooted(that means it will be planted but it can be uprooted) so that is what framing the words does, it uproots(which can mean the person receives wisdom to act properly, is corrected, removed e.t.c) and fill the space with the right plants.

While doing our part to teach/raise them right, let their landlord/owners bring in the other characters He has cast for the scenes of their lives where we don’t play an active role.
