Plenty hands spoils the soup…

Some years ago my husband and his friends were talking about cars and engines, they criticized V6 engine and it ranked low on the list of engines to consider. As a novice on cars and parts, I filed the information for future reference and from that day I disliked any car with V6 engine and that was a fact.

So, you can imagine my dismay when I made the observation to him recently about the same thing he said years ago and he countered the statement. He reviewed the V6 engine positively giving the pros and cons. I did not know what to do with this latest version, here I was detesting the V6 engine only to discover the person who informed the decision has changed his mind.

It’s the same thing with general opinions and social media, they are majorly half formed and biased. We should take people’s opinions and points with a pinch of salt. Sieve and filter them while ensuring we don’t make decisions based on what people think or say.

I have learned we should always ask ourselves?

What fuels my opinions?

What motivates my decision?

Who am I listening to and what are they saying?

Don’t wake up tomorrow to discover you have unknowingly lived being tossed about by different half baked winds of people’s comments and opinions.

When last did you sit down to think things through… Children upbringing, career choices, relationships e.t.c, what really fuels those choices?

Take a thinking break today 💞
