I remember while we were in school Annie Steve once saying, “the days of sitting at home, waiting for people to come to your father’s house saying; sir we saw a rose in your house that we are interested in, has passed, if you don’t go out, no one will see you. We all laughed it off then…
We are so quick to say the paralysed man in this story waited for 38years but another angle I saw while studying this was, he did not wait at home but at the pool where the miracle was happening. Do you think he would have met Jesus if he were at home? Or if he said, ” Abeg, I am tired! After all, I have been going there for the past 38years and still nothing! Just like Annie said, “the rose went out and it was seen and came back walking.”
But there is something else that happened, even though the man was where he will be seen, he almost missed it… 
The question was, “would you like to get well?” He replied with the sob story of his life… How he doesn’t have long leg, it’s all about man no man, things are just hard everywhere, nothing is working…
I read the story of Kenny Blaq the now popular comedian shared by @iambankole recently…
