The Exodus

I was reading the book of Exodus recently and I asked God why he allowed the Israelites to be treated wickedly by the Egyptians, he was blessing the midwives for not killing the baby boys but it seems he left the Israelites to keep suffering. If you are blessing others where your children are suffering, you can take them from there too now or even help them conquer the land of Egypt right, Holy Spirit?

While I was still thinking about this, a scenario came to mind. A baby is safe, comfy and cosy in the mother’s womb until it is time for it to come out, then the body that sheltered and fed it starts working against it to push it out. If the baby refuses to come out, everything will be employed to ensure it leaves that cocoon. It has outgrown that phase, will you say the doctors and nurses were wicked? the same scenario happens for breastfeeding, weaning, walking e.t.c even school examinations.

Life gives us expo always, if we are sensitive to see and catch the clues. There is time to grow, realign, expand or move.

Before we start worrying or suspecting something to mean we are being witch-hunted or attacked, the right question should be… Is this womb trying to expel me out to the bigger stage? Don’t fight a lost battle. The Devil is under God’s command too.

Pay attention to the clues around you and stay sensitive to God’s nudging. Don’t stay comfortable in the womb.

Note: No matter how tough Egypt gets, we never leave for Canaan empty or in shame, that’s not God’s way.
