There is a battle and it is fierce…
Yesterday I did a post on children and exposure, Mrs. Ugochi Obioha Nwanzekindly pointed I should brace myself and prepare them for a balanced view of life…
A few minutes later I came across this post by Dale Partridge, almost echoing her comment. Enjoy and prepare for battle
“…Our children will grow up in a world far more hostile than the one we did. We never had to concern ourselves with gender pronouns or the risk of pornography on our phones. We never had teachers who taught us to masturbate or openly called us to deny God and the Bible. No, today’s children have a far greater battle than we ever did.
As parents, we can’t expect that coloring pictures of Noah’s Ark on Sunday will suffice, either. Our children need to be trained! A parent who sends their child out among today’s wolves is grossly ignorant.
Jesus strongly warns against such spiritual negligence in Matthew 18:6,
“But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.”
God did not give children daycare centers or youth ministries or relatives or babysitters, He gave them parents.
It is your responsibility to equip your child with not only the knowledge of the faith they claim but the training they need to present it, discuss it, and defend it.
Do you lead a daily Bible lesson in your home?
Do your kids understand depravity and atonement and sin and redemption and prayer?
The enemy isn’t racist, sexist, intolerant, or prejudiced. He doesn’t care about age or nationality or your circumstances. He’s always looking for an easy target, make sure it’s not your child.
