Going to sokoto to look for what is in your shokoto…
This was a proverb I heard different variations of while growing up but recently it has been my reality in different ways.
These incidents were occurring almost daily to the point I had to analyze my life’s choices both big and small. I was looking for a part of a sewing machine to buy, I had sent far and wide but couldn’t get it, one day I went to the village market a walking distance from me and decided to ask, they had it and more but I had wasted months searching cos I felt the market was too small to have such.
Another incident was when I was buying tomatoes in bulk and felt it would be cheaper at Jos, I had bought from there like thrice when I decided to compare with the major market close to me… Conclusion: shokoto was cheaper than Sokoto.
These are only 2 incidents out of many. The interesting thing was I did not take correction until recently the lessons in these experiences.
I had been looking outside for what was already within. Concluded that the things within were not enough and wasting time and resources before coming back to realise I already had it all along.
When a human being comes to earth, the person comes complete with even the things they might not need immediately. When something is missing, it is called sickness because it is an anomaly.
Similarly, I have learned, God never takes us to a place or gives us an idea without pre-providing at least the basic requirements for that place or thing, you might need help with cosmetic improvement but the meat and juice are always with you if you learn to look.
So are you looking for anything in Sokoto, have you checked your shokoto?
