Where Should I Fix my Attention 🤷🏼‍♀️?

I had joined a group Women Praying Banquet (WPB) owned by Dotun Arifalo recently, if you are a woman and you are interested in becoming a member, let me know, as it helps with accountability and brings you together with other vibrant women.

Anyway, we were to undergo training before induction. On the scheduled day there was no light and my battery was low; I kept hoping and praying that the battery holds or light will be restored before the training was over, alas the battery died midway.

I got up to convince my husband to switch on the generator before time, but as I stood up from the bed and raised my head I saw there was light.

Apparently, the light had been restored all the while I was using the phone and hoping it doesn’t die.

Most times we get so fixated on the problem, making us blind to the answers right before us. The phone did not have to die, because there was light but I didn’t know that as my attention was taken by the fast-draining battery life.

There is no denying that challenges will come but I realized my attention shouldn’t be fixed on the challenge, but the solution standing behind it. They are like 5&6 for every question/problem, there is a solution/answer.

Psalm 23 says even when I walk through the dark shadow of death… God is close beside me. Another verse says He prepares a table/feast for me in the presence of my enemies.

The question is, God why will you even allow me to enter or walk through the dark shadow in the first place? Why is it in front of my enemies of all places you are preparing a feast for me?

The answer is, my attention shouldn’t be on the death or dark shadow neither should it be on the enemies surrounding me because God is close beside, preparing a table. when my attention is fixed on this knowledge, I can then see the solution and the table that is prepared bountifully before me.

Bishop David Oyedepo once said something, can you look up and down at the same time?

Where is your attention … problem or solution?

The choice is yours.
